To be a part of the NCAFF, a team needs to have 35 men for players.  All players must be over the age of 18.  A team needs access to a home field for training and for games.   A team  is required to be in Northern California, and be able to travel to away games.  (Northern Division or Southern Division.) A team needs insurance, as well as proper and safe equipment.

A team needs leaders.  A coach, a team owner, and a few sponsors to help make it all possible.

At the league level there are league fees and a performance bond required.
The Northern California Amateur Football Federation (NCAFF) is a proud member of the Minor League Football Alliance (MLFA)
